The Three Towers Swim Team was formed in 2009 as a partnership between Frome Swimming Club and Wells and Shepton Mallet Swimming Club in order to develop a joint team to enter the National League.
Having been involved in the running of the very successful Avalon Open Meets for several years the clubs concerned decided it was time to go their separate ways. Frome and WASM have cemented their partnership further by taking on the running of two meets at Millfield, one in October and one in April. With the Three Towers already up and running this seemed the logical banner to operate under.
Why Three Towers???
We tried to find something that linked the two towns and one city that make up the two clubs involved and realised that each was located next to a historic tower. Frome has King Alfred's tower, Shepton Mallet has Cranmore tower and Wells has the Central Tower in Wells Cathedral, hence the name and the logo.
